Does This Sound Familiar?
You train hard but often feel tired, flat, or under-fueled
You’ve struggled with cramps, stomach issues, or bonking in races
You know nutrition matters but feel overwhelmed by conflicting advice
You want to eat well, but also enjoy food and balance it with real life
Then you’re not alone.
Most triathletes I work with face the same struggles — until they finally take control of their nutrition.
I know first-hand how frustrating this can be.
When I first got into triathlon, I thought training harder was the answer. But despite the hours, I was constantly tired, my races didn’t go to plan, and nutrition always felt like guesswork.
In my first 70.3, I catastrophically hit the wall about 8 miles into the run — and realised something had to change.
So I went deep.
I completed a Master’s Degree in Sports Nutrition, became a registered Practitioner on the Sports and Exercise Nutrition Register, and since then I’ve helped hundreds of triathletes master their fueling.
What changed everything for the triathletes I worked with wasn’t a new product or fad — it was a clear, structured system.
One that showed them exactly how to fuel for daily life, training, and race day.
Now, after supporting everyone from first-time Ironman finishers to professional 70.3 champions, I’ve distilled everything I’ve learned into TriFuel Academy — so you can skip the trial-and-error and finally feel confident in your nutrition.
The TriFuel Framework
Most triathletes struggle with nutrition because they try to fuel every day, every workout, and every race the same way.
The TriFuel Framework makes it simple: the right strategy for the right context.
Daily Fueling → Eat for energy and recovery without overthinking. Finally know what “enough” looks like.
Training Fueling → Match carbs, fluids, and electrolytes to the session — no more bonks, crazy hunger swings, or dragging yourself through key workouts.
Race Fueling → Execute a proven plan on the big day. Know exactly what to eat before, during, and after — and race with confidence all the way to the finish.
Once you understand and apply this framework, nutrition isn’t something you have to guess at.
Instead, it’s something you can feel confident in using to get the most out of yourself.

How to ACTUALLY Master Triathlon Nutrition Without Guesswork
Most triathletes don’t struggle because they train too little.
They struggle because they fuel the same way every day, in training, and on race day — and wonder why they’re tired, inconsistent, or falling apart halfway through a race.
The truth is simple: fueling is different depending on the context.
Eat right in daily life → more energy, better recovery, less stress about food.
Fuel properly in training → no more bonks, crazy hunger swings, or flat sessions.
Nail your race-day plan → perform to your potential instead of fading when it matters most.
You could spend years piecing this together from conflicting online advice, trial and error, and painful mistakes in races.
But you don’t need to — because I’ve already done that for you.
TriFuel Academy distills everything I’ve learned (working with first-time Ironman finishers all the way up to professional champions) into a simple, step-by-step system you can complete in under 7 hours.
And once you apply it, you’ll:
✅ Finally stop second-guessing every meal and know what “enough” looks like.
✅ Train with consistent energy and recover faster between sessions.
✅ Head into race week with confidence, knowing exactly what, when, and how much to fuel.
✅ Avoid the bonks, GI issues, and panic that hold so many triathletes back.
✅ Build a nutrition system that works for your training and races — not someone else’s.
In total: Around 4 hours of focused content, with built-in quizzes and prompts that bring the time to complete TFA properly to about 7 hours.
Complete it in a weekend and walk away with a fueling system you’ll use for every season, training block, and race.
You’re protected by a 30-Day Full Refund Guarantee.
This is really simple.
If you aren’t satisfied with the course, just email me within 30 days lof purchase and I’ll refund you in full.
Bonus: Real Race Day Templates
Working out a fueling plan for an 70.3 or full-distance Ironman can feel overwhelming.
Do you carry everything yourself? Rely on aid stations? Can you mix products together?
To make it easier, I’ve included a set of ready-to-use, customisable Ironman & 70.3 race nutrition templates that show you exactly how real triathletes fuel on race day.
One example for carrying everything yourself
One for using a concentrated carbohydrate drink mix
One for a stop-and-refill strategy on the course
Each is fully editable, so you can plug in your own products and numbers to make them yours.

Helping triathletes take the guesswork out of nutrition
Hey! James here 🙂 It's wonderful to meet you.
My journey into triathlon began in 2018 with a fateful entry into a 70.3. Like many triathletes, I quickly caught "the bug" and haven't looked back since.
While I still race every season, my true passion has become helping other triathletes with their nutrition journey.
My background in healthcare spans over a decade, starting as a Paramedic in the Ambulance Service in 2013. I've since advanced to working in General Practice, where I became one of the first Paramedics in the UK to be granted Independent Medical Prescribing rights - essentially working as a Family Doctor.
This medical background, combined with my Masters in Sports Nutrition and SENR registration, has given me a deep understanding of both the science and practical side of nutrition.
I love taking complex nutritional science and turning it into simple, practical strategies for busy triathletes. No jargon, no fads - just evidence-based approaches that work in real life.
The Hub is my way of helping more triathletes understand nutrition and use it to achieve their goals.
I hope you'll join us!
